Ilium (anatomy)

The ilium or ilion is one of the three Os which forms the iliaque Os. The ilion is the upper part of the iliaque bone which makes covered on the level of the Hanche (iliaque peak).
It is the only bone of the body which is prone to a very particular pathology: the Pneumatokyste. It is about a true cavity, being able to reach several centimetres and container of the air.
