Ihizi
Ihizi is the Basque word indicating wild animal in mythology. THERE are geniuses which take a form of wild animal, in particular in the caves where they live. For example, they appear in the form of a red bull (Zezengorri) in the caves of Ostibarre (Camou) in Soule/Zuberoa or Xiberoa in souletin enter-others places. In others, it takes the shape of a bull of fire as in the caves of Austokieta and Ubedi . In the form of cow with Leize (Sare) in Labourd/Lapurdi. In white horse in the caves of Lexarrigibel (Altsai) in Drunk/Xiberoa. In black mare in the cave of Obanzun (Berastegi) in the form of goat in the caves of Akelarre to Zugarramurdi (Navarre/ Navarra / Nafarroa ). One also sees it in the shape of white goat in a cave of Villafranca or under the aspect of a sheep in the caves of Okina and Aketegi or even under the aspect of a red pig with Marizulo of Amezketa.
Etymology
Ihizi means " drives out " out of Basque. the suffix has indicates the article: ihizi' a' thus results in " the chasse". the game says ehiza.
Note
There does not exist kind ( male , female ) in the Basque language and all the letters decide. There is thus no association as for French or WHICH decides KI .
