Igor Liba
Igor Liba (born the November 4th 1960 with Prešov in Slovakia) is a former player of professional Hockey which played station of left winger of 1981 with 2003.
Career in club
Liba carried in career of many uniforms and travelled much. It began with the club from its birthplace from ZPA Prešov from 1970 with 1978; it took this year the way of HC Košice of the Championnat of Czechoslovakia of hockey, before being transferred to HC Dukla Jihlava for 1982-83.The Flames of Calgary fish out it with the 5th turn of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1983; it does not cross however immediately the Atlantique, turning over to the HC Košice in 1984 until in 1988, year or it makes the great jump in the National league of hockey.
He will play only one season in North America, carrying the colors of the Rangers of New York and the Kings of Los Angeles, having even the honor of player on the same line as Wayne Gretzky with the latter.
He turned over for the following season to the HC Košice; he spent the season 1990-91 with HC Bienne of Swiss LNA and the HC Košice, then the season 1991-92 between this same club and HC Fiemme Cavalese of the Série Italy has. It will spend the following seasons with the TuTo Turku in Finland, HC Zeltweg in Austria, the HK VTJ Spišská Nová Ves, the HK VTJ Trebišov and the HK Dragon Prešov, all three of Slovakia, in addition to two additional passages with the HC Košice. It hung its shoes in 2003.
International career
Liba gained the money medal to the Winter Olympics of 1984 with Sarajevo, just as that of bronze to the Winter Olympics of 1992 of Albertville with the Équipe of Czechoslovakia of hockey. He was established with the Temple of re-elected Slovak hockey in 2005.
