Ibrahim Baré Maïnassara

The general Ibrahim Baré Maïnassara (who means " the victorieux" , in language Haoussa), which carried out the coup d'etat and taken the head of the Council of national hello, is a military career.

Born in 1949 with Maradi (550 km in the east of Niamey), it is Haoussa (ethnos group majority with the Niger and especially present at the south of the country, along the border with the Nigeria). It made primary studies with Niamey, followed of a military formation to Madagascar and in France, before becoming in 1974, at the 25 years age, aide-de-camp of the president Seyni Kountché.
