I.A.F.E.

I.A.F.E. (Instituto Autonomo of los Ferrocarriles del Estado - Institute autonomous of the railroads of State ) is an organization depend on the Ministry for the Infrastructure Venezuelan, in charge of the implementation of the national railway plan of the country.

3 projects are in hand:

• rehabilitation of the System Central-Westerner (single track): Puerto Cabello - Barquisimeto/Acarigua,
• construction of Caracas - Cúa (double electrified track),
• construction of the Central System: El Palito (13 km of Puerto Cabello) - Cagua (double electrified track).
