Hydraulic power

The hydraulic power is the energy concerned during the displacement or of the accumulation of a incompressible Fluide such as the Huile, the Fresh water or the Sea water.

This displacement produces a mechanical work which is:

  • directly used in the form of mechanical energy
    • the water of a brook makes turn the wheel of a Water mill or of a Noria
    • in a hydraulic Machine, the Huile pressurized by a Pompe and injected into a Vérin pushes a heavy load by exerting a force which can reach several tons.
    • in a torque converter, the oil propelled by a Turbine on another turbine, transmits a couple without jolts and with a multiplier effect.

  • converted into hydroelectric energy (production of electricity)
    • a hydroelectric station uses the energy drop height and of the flow of a river
    • of other power stations use the energy of the tides, the energy of the waves and the energy of the marine currents
