Hun Sen
Hun Sen is a Kampuchean politician. Prime Minister pro-Vietnamese of the country since 1985.
Biography
Hun Sen was born has Kompong Cham with the Kampuchea in 1952, in a prosperous rural family.
Political action
Ex-officer, colonel of the Khmer Rouge, it is resulting from the Angkar, the supreme organization khmère red, person in charge between 1975 and 1979 of died of more than two million Kampuchean.He is student when in 1970 the Prime Minister Norodom Sihanouk is reversed by an pro-American faction and anticommunist of its government. Hun Sen joined a Khmer Rouge resistance movement then pro-Sihanouk. Good soldier, always in first line, it will be wounded and lose an eye in the Khmer Rouge final attack on Phnom Penh in 1975 at the time which it ordered the attack against the Aéroport of Pochentong on April 17th, 1975. He was high with the regimental rank of commander of Eastern Kampuchea.
After the intervention Vietnamese of 1977, the Khmer Rouges stop many soldiers in the regiment of Hun Sen, suspecté to be provietnamien. He flees then in Vietnam, or he is imprisoned several months before being integrated into an political organization trained to reverse the Khmer Rouges, the United front of the Khmer people for national safety (KNUFNS). He reaches in December 1978 the central committee of this organization.
Foreign Minister of the Kampuchea in 1984, after the fall of the Khmer Rouges, it reaches the post of Prime Minister of the Popular republic of Kampuchea in 1985, station which it since then occupies without interruption and which it preserved after the restoration of monarchy. He is the strong man of the Parti Peuble Cambodgien.
In 2008 will take place of new elections for the post of Prime Minister. Mr Hun Sen will not be able to aspire to a fourth mandate, the Kampuchean Constitution prohibiting it very clearly.
Hun Sen and Chumteav Bun Rany has six children today (three boys and three girls, one of it having been adopted): Their names are Hun Manet, Hun Mana, Hun Manit, Hun Mani, Hun Mali, and Hun Malis. But D `after the close relations of Hun Sen, it N `has that 3 boys and his/her three daughters all are adopted.
