Hugues Panassié

Hugues Panassié (1912 - 1974) was a critic and producer of Jazz French. He was an admiror of the style of jazz " hot" as played by Louis Armstrong in the Years 1930. He regarded the Bebop as a form of music distinct from the jazz.

Biography

He discovers the jazz before the Années 1930, and passed the remainder of his life to be made known this music in France by melting in 1932 the Hot Club of France. Despite everything it succeeds before very making discover the jazz with the Americans.
