Hugues Gall

Hugues Randolph Gall , born has Honfleur on March 18th, 1940, is a director of opera French, which in particular directed the Grand Theater of Geneva and the national Opéra of Paris.

Career

He is former student of the institute of political studies of Paris and laid off '' be '' letters in German letters.

It begins its career in the cabinets of Edgar Faure with the ministry for Agriculture then to the minister of education main road; in this last station, it is in charge of artistic teaching. It then creates the music field of the baccalaureat and the artistic department of the university of Vincennes. It forms then part of the cabinet of Edmond Michelet, Minister for the cultural Affairs.

General secretary of the Meeting of the national opera houses as from 1969, he is the assistant of Rolf Liebermann with the national theater of the Opera of 1973 to 1980. He is then director of the Grand Theater of Geneva of 1980 to 1995, and finally director of the national Opéra of Paris of 1995 to 2004.

He is, since 2004, to advise State in extraordinary service, and administrator of the École of Louvre, Noureev foundation, foundation of company of Veolia Environnement and national theater of the Op3era Comique, president of the council of improvement of group ISEA and, since July 2004, chairman of the board of the Institut of financing of the cinema and culture industries. He is in addition to advise Chinese government for the music and the opera.
