Home of Boussac
The home of Boussac was built as from 1695 per Jacques Perrin, close to Richemont, on the edges of the Antenne, in height of the level of the Moulin, on the current commune of Cherves-Richemont.
History
The Moulin with corn of Boussac dates from the 14th century or front, because it has been made by it mention on March 14th, 1426 as being in ruin due to war for more than 30 years. And a home existed: in 1500 lives there Pierre Raffard sior of Boussac then later Benjamin de LestangIn 1662 Jean and Jacques Perrin, associated in owner brandy trade a and of the Perrin Hotel, street Saulnier with Cognac buy the field of Boussac. After the division of their goods Jacques Perrin makes build the home and takes the name of Perrin de Boussac. The Pigeon square on stage, cover of tiles punts on the right of the grid of entry, goes back to this time.
In 1786 it is given the authorization of a Papeterie which is built in 1788 with, part paper machine of drying and residences of workmen. On the other side of the road exists always a building with housing of the foreman at the ground floor and driers with paper on the floor. One notes two openings for pigeons in the wall. The mill with paper functioned until 1827.
The home of Boussac is registered with the Historic buildings since 1987.
Structure
The home of Boussac, built at the end of the 17th century did not undergo modification. It represents the prototype of the country house at the end of the reign of Louis XIV:- two houses flank the main building;
- long building without stage with in the center a door side court giving on a perron, a balustrade and a Sundial.
