The group Hole is founded in 1989 by Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson with Los Angeles.
Their first album Pretty One The Inside leaves in 1991. But what will return Hole and Courtney Love celebrates, it is the marriage of the latter with Kurt Cobain, leader of Nirvana.
In 1994, a few days after the death of Cobain, Hole leaves Live Through This , probably the best album of the group. Two months later, the June 15th 1994, the bass player Kristen Pfaff dies of an overdose: it will be replaced by Melissa Auf der Maur. In 1997 leaves My Body, The Hand Grenade , a compilation of scarcities and live. Finally, in 1998, the group leaves Celebrity Skin .
Melissa Auf der Maur leaves the group in 2000 to join the Smashing Pumpkins. In May 2002, Courtney and Eric announce officially the end of Hole.
