Prehistory
The site of Hill Cactus, located at approximately 70 km of Richmond, in Virginia, is one of some sites which contain testimonys of a pre-Clovis population in North America. This site is in a sand dune close to the Nottoway river and contains a laminated series of cultural levels spreading out 20.000 years until the period corresponding to the Clovis Site.
