Hip rafter

The hip rafter is a part of Charpente which forms the salient angle or the edge of the croup of a Toit, of a house or of any other species of roof.

In Menuiserie one uses this term to indicate the joinery which, by making use of the descriptive Géométrie, makes it possible to trace in two dimensions, of the parts in three dimensions.
