The High-Pear tree is a Mulhousian district also called Illberg which means into Alsatian the mountain of Ill because the district is located on a hill bordered by the Ill.

The district shelters the Campus of Illberg of the Université of High-Alsace and is thus the largest student district of Mulhouse in front of the district of the Foundry.
