High-Anjou

The High-Anjou extends on all the northern part of the Département of Maine-et-Loire and one the southern third of the department close to the Mayenne, known as Mayenne angevine, like in the South of the department of the the Sarthe, under the name of Maine angevin.

As its name indicates it, High-Anjou dominates by its heights, (hills and slopes), the valley of the Loire and the low tributary valleys ligériennes of the royal river. High-Anjou covers the areas located upstream rivers Mayenne, the Sarthe and Loir.
