Hermocrat
Hermocrate , or Hermocratés , was a statège syracusien. Its name means " endowed with the capacity of Hermes, the messenger of the dieux". It was one of the principal Syracusains generals and played a paramount role in the bankruptcy of the Expédition of Sicily, prelude to the fall of Athens in the Peloponnesian War.
