Hermione (in Greek old: Ἑρμιόνη ) is the name of an ancient city located in the Peloponnese, in Greece.

It is in particular quoted by Homère in the Catalog of the vessels among the towns of Argolide which sent men (under the command of Diomède) to take Troy.

Pausanias, in its Description of Greece , indicates that the founder of the city was Hermion, the son of Europos, and precise that the worship of Aphrodite was particularly widespread in the city.
