Herculis zeta

Zeta Herculis (ζ Her/ζ Herculis) is a binary star of the Constellation of Hercules. The primary component is a Under-giantess a little larger than the Sun and which has just started to evolve/move apart from the principal Séquence. In orbit around it is a smaller and weaker star which is distant primary elections of a little more Arcseconde. The stars orbit one around the other over one period 34,5 years and an equatorial radius of 1,36".

This system belongs to the group of stars Zeta Herculis . This group includes/understands: φ ² Pavonis, ζ Reticuli, 1 Hydra, Gl 456, Gl 678 and Gl 9079.
