Henri de Lubac (Cambric, February 20th 1896 - Paris, September 4th 1991) is a catholic Théologie N and prelate French.
Biography
It enters the Society of Jesus in 1913, at the 17 years age, and passes its noviciate on the island of Jersey, the congregations being banished of France since 1905. It fights during the First World War, where it is seriously wounded with the head in 1917. The experiment of distinct will haunt it all its life. In 1927, it is ordered priest. After its course of studies, it becomes in 1929 professor of fundamental Théologie to the catholic Faculty of Lyon.
In 1938, it publishes its first book, Catholicisme, the social aspects of the dogma . During the Second world war, it engages in the Résistance and takes part in the creation of the Cahiers of Christian Testimony . In 1942, it founds with Jean Daniélou the collection of Patrologie, Christian Sources . In 1946 appears Surnaturel. Historical studies , which makes scandal. One suspects it of modernism. The Encyclical Humani generis of 1950 seeming to aim it directly, it is interdict of Enseignement by the general of the Jesuits, and its books are withdrawn from the schools and training institutes. It leaves then Lyon for Paris and continues to write.
It is only in 1958 that it is authorized to take again its courses. It is interested in the medieval Exégèse, in particular the Théorie of the four directions. In 1960, it is named by Jean XXIII consulting preparatory theological Commission with the Vatican II. The true rehabilitation is its nomination as an expert of the Concile. He then becomes a theologist listened and respected, which leads in 1983 to its nomination to the cardinalat by Jean-Paul II. Anxious of the post-conciliar drifts, he explains his vision of the council in Paradoxe and Mystère of the Church in 1967 and Entretien around the Vatican II. Memories and reflections in 1985.
In spite of its great age, it continues to write, yielding only vis-a-vis the disease, the paralysis and the loss of the voice. He dies in 1991 at the 95 years age.
