Henri Shoe
Henri Joseph Guillaume Patin (August 21st 1793 with Paris - February 19th 1876) is a man of letters, hellenist and Latinist French.
He is pupil then university lecturer with the Teacher training school before becoming professor of eloquence then of Latin poetry to the Faculty of Arts of which he will be the senior in 1833. He collaborates in many newspapers, of which the Revue of the Two Worlds , the Earth and the Journal of the scientists . He is known as well for his translations of the Greek and Latin as for his Études on the Greek tragedies , work which opens the doors of the French Academy to him of which he is elected member in 1842 and of which he is named perpetual secretary in 1871.
