Henri Pousseur (Malmedy, the June 23rd 1929 -) is a Belgian Compositeur .

He works with the electronic studios of Cologne in 1954, with Milan in 1957, and founds in 1958 that of Brussels. Since this moment, its collaboration with Michel Butor was constant. With him it composed, inter alia, Your Faust (1960-1968), Répons (1960-1965), the lawsuit of the young dog (1974-1978), the pink of the voices (1982), Déclarations of storms (1989), the lessons of hell (1991), the Sand glass of the Phoenix (1993).

He teaches with Darmstadt in 1957, then with Cologne, Basle and Buffalo. He returns to Belgium in 1970, as directing professor of Composition then of the royal Conservatoire of Liege and founds, with Pierre Bartholomée, the Research center and of formation musical of Wallonia. In the Years 1980, Maurice Fleuret requires of him to set up the Institut of musical pedagogy of Paris, depend on IRCAM.

Henri Pousseur was selected like one of the Hundred Walloons of the century, by the Institut Jules Destrée, in 1995 and appears in chapter LV of Wallonia his history initulé a fertile soil as creators of Herve Hasquin, (Luc Pire, Brussels, 1999, p. 281).
