In Geography, a hemisphere is a half of the Ground. The sphere can be divided into two hemispheres, each one centered on a point named pole and separated from the other by a Grand circle.

North and South

The terrestrial sphere is divisible in two hemispheres Northern and Southern, by centering the first on the North pole, the second on the South pole, the separation of both being carried out on the level of the equator.
