Heinz Holliger
Heinz Holliger is a Compositeur, hautboïste and Leader Suisse born the May 21st 1939 with Langenthal.
Musical course
After its first studies with the academies of Basle and Bern he studies the Hautbois with the higher national academy of music of Paris with Pierre Pierlot. He also follows the courses of Pierre Boulez. He gains the first price of the prestigious international Concours of Geneva in 1959 then that of Munich two years later. It is one of the most famous hautboïstes in the world, and of many type-setters (Berio, Carter, Ferneyhough, Ligeti, Lutoslawski) dedicated to him of works whose it ensured creation.
He is currently professor with the Academy of Music of Freiburg-in-Brisgau in Germany.
