Heinrich Gätke
Heinrich Gätke is a German ornithologist , born the May 19th 1814 with Pritzwalk and dead on January 1st 1897 with Helgoland.
He is the son of Johann A.F.W. Gätke and of Sophia born Wenzel. It begins its life as business man before turning to Article It goes to Helgoland to observe there the migrations of Oiseau X and remains there during sixty years.
He is in particular the author of Die Vogelwarte Helgoland (1891) and of the many observations on the migration of the European birds. Its collection is acquired by the Russia to enrich the Natural history museum by the North Sea.
