Harry Turtledove
Harry Turtledove is a historian and a novelist, born the June 14th 1949 with Los Angeles with the the United States. It is known for its uchronic novels , Fantastique S and of Science-fiction.
Youth and career of historian
After having given up one year of study to Caltech, he studies with the UCLA where he makes a success of in 1977 a Doctorat in Histoire of the Byzantine Empire. Its essay carried on the immediate Successors of Justinien: a study of the Persian problem and continuity and changes in the internal secular businesses in the late Roman Empire during the reigns of Justin II and Tibère II Constantin (565-582) ( The Immediate Successors off Justinian: In Study off the Persian Problem and off Continuity and Change in Internal Secular Affairs in the Later Roman Worsens off During the Reigns Justin II and Tiberius II Constantine (A.D. 565-582) ).Until the beginning of the Years 1980, it works as secretary at the Office of the education of the county of Los Angeles (L.A. County Office off Education), which it leaves in 1991 to become writer full-time. In 1986-1987, he was treasurer of the association of the Authors of science fiction of America (Science Fiction Writers off America).
Literary career
Two years after its doctorate, it publishes its first two novels, Wereblood and Werenight under the pseudonym of “Eric G. Iverson”. According to the writer, the editor Belmont Tower thought that the readers would take “Turtledove” for a pseudonym. Turtledove will use this pseudonym until in 1985. Herbig-Haro and And so to Bed is its first novels published under its true name.Starting from 1991, the writing becomes its single community activity. He marries the writer of science fiction Laura Frankos, whose brother Steven is author of novels Fantastique S.
The current celebrity of Turtledove in the public of the science fiction of English language is due to her novels and series of uchronic novels .

In August 1988, at the convention of science fiction Rivercon XIII with Louisville (Kentucky), Turtledove, then invited honor, accepted the title of honorary colonel of the Kentucky.
