Harry Kemelman

Harry Kemelman , born with Boston the November 24th 1908, was an American author of detective novels and English professor.

The essence of its career was devoted to teaching of the Letters to the State College of Boston, until it publishes, in 1965, One suspects the rabbi ( Friday, the Rabbi Slept Late ), novel which will receive the Price Edgar Poe of the best first novel. It accepted also 35.000$ for the film adaptation of its first novel. The Rabbi David Small, hero of this book, will become that of a series of 11 detective novels.

Harry Kemelman is also the author of police news, of nonknown number.

He died on December 15th, 1996 of an impaired renal function.
