Hamza ibn Abd Al-Muttalib
Hamza Ibn Abd-it-Mouttaleb (of Arabic Hamza: rear RTL حمزةبنعبدالمطلب)
Hamza was the uncle of the Prophet (saw) and his foster brother. Hamza knew the size of its nephew and its perfection and it was with the current of the reality of its message and the gasoline of its behavior. Its knowledge was not that of the uncle and his nephew but that of the brother and the friend. Because the Messenger (saw) and Hamza of the same generation and a nearby age grew together and played and fraternized. But in their youth, each one took a way different from the other.
Hamza enjoyed the delights of the life and found a place among the Chiefs and noble of Mecque, while the Messenger (saw) let himself guide by the lights of his heart. Qoreich maintained more and more the words about the Messenger (saw) and the murmurs were transformed into provocation and Hamza observed the situation by far, the firmness of its nephew surprised it and its faith and the new message was for Qoreich a new thing.
Hamza knew it well and he never remembered that he saw it one day courroucé, despaired, envieux, inattentive or ruined… Hamza did not enjoy only one physical force but also a perspicacity and a strong will. Beside Kaaba, a servant crossed Hamza and " challenged it; If you had seen your nephew as he was maltreated by Abou Jahl, he harmed to him and insulted it whereas he was assis". There after having listened to the words attentively, Hamza took its arc and ran towards Kaaba hoping to see Abou Jahl.
Arrived, he saw Abou Jahl, approached with calm and struck it of its arc and shouted high with the Parliament presents " Insults you Mohamed you Abou Jahl whereas I embraced his religion and that I am what it say, answer me if you are able! ".
After this event, Hamza felt badly and the superstition of the idols took it, even had told him " Then, I regretted having given up the religion of my ancestors and the doubt took to me so much that I did not sleep any more, then, I went towards Kaaba begging God to grant the truth to me and to remove me the doubt. God me exauca and fills me the heart of Foi". Thus Hamza became Musulman in all sincerity.
Since its conversion, it dedicated its force, its courage and its life with God until the Prophet (saw) gave him this pseudonym " Lion of God and Lion of Messager".
During the forwarding of Badr, Hamza was with the head of the first battalion and the battle made rage and the Moslems gained by the grace of God. The overcome army returned in Mekka, Abou Soufiane, the low head with deaths left on the battle field such as Abou Jahl, Outba Ben Rabia, Chayba Ben Rabia, Omaya Ben Khalaf…
The defeat not being able to be accepted, Qoreich returned one year later for the forwarding of Ohod. Their goal was revenge towards two men: Hamza and Mohamed (saw). Before the battle, a plot was assembled by Qoreich by Jobayr Ben Môtem and Hind Bint Outba. This diabolic plot consisted so that Wahchi, the slave abyssin of Jobayr kills Hamza of a throw of its lance. In addition, well before the battle, Hind had been given the responsability to fill with hatred the chest of Wahchi and had promised richnesses to him.
And during the battle, el Wahchi, threaded and sought Hamza and by treachery whereas this last was in full combat the lance in the back launched him. It came then close to its body, tore off the liver to him to bring it to Hind which ate it.
In front of the horror of made brutality, the Messenger (saw) was struck and made indignant because he liked it in a considerable way. Hamza was buried in Ouhoud with other martyrs such as Mossab Ben Omayr. As for Wahchi, fearing revenge on behalf of the Moslems, it converts because it knew that conversion with Islam erased the preceding errors.
