Hallgrímskirkja

Hallgrímskirkja is a church located in the south-east of the downtown area of Reykjavík, in Iceland. Built 1945 until in 1986, it is built in Béton and its arrow measures 75m. It is thus the most building of the country. It owes its name to the reverend Hallgrímur Pétursson. Its organ has more than 5200 pipes.

The statue with the foot of the church represents Leifur Eiríksson, wire of Erik the Red, which discovered the America.
