Hagiwara Hiromichi
Hagiwara Hiromichi (萩原広道) (1815-1863) was student Japanese in literature, philology and nativism (国学 kokugaku ; literally: national science or of the country). He was also an author, a translator, and an active poet during the Period late Edo.
He is particularly known for his innovating comment and his literary analysis of the Dit of Genji (Genji monogatari, 1010) found in his work entitled Genji Monogatari Hyōshaku (源氏物語評釈 an evaluation of the Genji ), published between 1854 and 1861.
