History

Guerilla Games takes its origin in the will of the Dutch multi-media firm Lost Boys to launch out in videoludic industry. This one repurchases two small studios of development, “Orangegames”, founded by Arjan Brussee, and “DIGITAL Infinity”, founded by Arnout van der Kamp, to create “Lost Boys Ranges” with the beginning of the year 2000. During the two following years, Lost Boys Ranges develops four plays GameBoy.

In 2003, the company-mother decides to separate from its division " play vidéo". The founder of Lost Servant boys, Michiel Mol, then integrates the entity into another multi-media company, “Republic Media”, which sees famous Guerilla Games in July 2003. From now on independent, Guerilla holds the attention of large editors and in particular of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe which, allured by the potential of its next play, Killzone , decides to produce it. Killzone becomes one of the titles headlights of the year 2004 on PlayStation 2. Their next play, ShellShock: Nam '67 , is published the same year at Eidos. The company ties then a close cooperation with SCEE and signs with them a franchise agreement.

This relation led in December 2005 to the repurchase of the company by Sony which integrates it within the Sony THIS Worldwide Studios. Guerilla develops Killzone: Release which sees the day in 2006 on PlayStation Portable and Killzone 2 , a new episode under development on PlayStation 3.
