Gueorgui Plekhanov

Gueorgui Valentinovitch Plekhanov (in) (December 11th 1856 - May 30th 1918, or November 29th 1856 - May 17th 1918 according to the Calendar Julien) was a revolutionist and Marxist theorist Russian. It founded the social democrat movement in Russia and contributed to the expansion of the Marxism in this country. It also took part in the reflections on the presence of art and the religion in the company.

Biography

Born with Goudalovka in 1856, it militates initially near the Narodniki. In 1883, it founds with Geneva the group Émancipation of Work with Pavel Axelrod, first Marxist cell in Russia. Constrained with the exile for 40 years, it establishes the Social democrat Working Party of Russia (POSDR) in 1898. It also takes part in the newspaper Iskra, in collaboration with Martov and Lénine. Plekhanov supports the Russian Révolution of 1905 but becomes critical towards that of 1917, directed by his/her former Lénine comrade. The two men entered in conflict in 1903. Hostile with the Bolchevism, Plekhanov preached a nationalist position rather than a vision internationalist. It joined the Menchevik S but leaves Russia for the Finland little before the revolution of 1917. During the First World War, it takes a position defensist. He dies of tuberculosis in 1918.

Philosophy

Whereas Marx seems to put on side philosophy starting from the German ideology , text where it regulates its accounts with the philosophical movement of the young people hégeliens of left, to devote itself more and more to the scientific study of the laws of the evolution of the company, Plekhanov devotes several of its works to clarify the philosophical bases of the doctrines of Marx.

More known, its work on the fundamental questions of the Marxism clarifies the philosophical bases of the Marxist design of the world like its method of analysis of the company.
