Group of Rio

The Groupe of Rio is an organization created the December 18th 1986. This association aims at a better co-operation between the various countries of Latin America.

In 2003, the Group of Rio included/understood 19 Member States. It currently gathers the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, more, by rotation, a representative of the Community of the Caribbean.

The group is an abstract regional authority, without seat nor administration permanent. The secretariat is held in turn by one of the members.
