Grospierres

Grospierres is a common French, located in the department of the Ardèche and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Grospierre is a tourist village located near Ruoms and of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc but attached administratively to the Canton of Merry.

History

The village had, until beginning of the year 80, an important fruit-bearing agricultural cooperative (Vivacoop, most important of Ardèche).

Grospierres was served by the railway PLM then the SNCF of the line Vogüé - Robiac-Rochessadoule. The old station, always visible, became La Poste village.
