Grampians mounts

The mounts Grampians form one of the three principal assembly lines of Scotland.

They dominate the plates of Gneiss and of Granite S of the solid masses of the south and rise between the glaciated valley and lake Glenmore and the depression which links the Firth S of the Forth and of the Clyde.

Its more high summits are Ben Nevis (1343 m) and Ben Macdhui (1309 m) which does not have eternal snow, but are covered with pastures and a very green vegetation.
