Grackle
The grackles are Oiseau X Passériforme S, close to the starling, several S of sturnidés .
They are originating in the South-East Asia .
Their plumage is generally black shining; these birds measure usually a score of centimetres. They can live from 15 to 30 years.
French qualifies “grackle” true only one species (against 28 species of sturnidés for the english-speaking).
Breeding in captivity
If they are high in captivity, it is necessary to put them in a large cage. Their food can then be composed of one pâtée special for grackles and pellets. They also like the fruits (pears, apples, figs…).
It is necessary to cut their nails regularly and to give them what to bathe the every day. The grackle adores the sun baths and fears the cold and the drafts.
The grackle imitates, often better than the Perroquet S, the sounds and even the human voice, in condition of course of having had it any young person. It is necessary well to reflect before taking a grackle at home because this animal is very dirty. When he eats he shakes the head and puts food all around the cage. The cage must be cleaned practically the every day because this animal has liquid and abundant excrements.
