Grace
The grace is a Prière Christian, it is not also the first word of this same prayer. This word comes from the Latin and means “Bless”. The Latin word the grace (without accents) is sometimes also used.
This prayer, probably of a very old monastic origin, is recited at the beginning of the Repas to thank God for the " bread quotidien" that it gives us. It can be recited or sung, in Latin or any other language.
Example: “Bless, Seigneur, bless this meal, those which prepared it, and get bread with those which do not have any! Thus it is! ”.
After the meal a prayer of thanksgiving is also recited: “Thank you, Lord, for all your benefits, keep our hearts in peace”.
In the Liturgy Anglican E, the grace is a Cantique Book off Common Prayer .
