LPG Violations project is a Internet site and an association founded by Harald Welte in January 2004 in order to continue the infringements with the public License general GNU, principal license for the free software.
Among the various legal actions, it obtained a legal injunction against the editor Fortinet, specialized in the safety of the network X, which it showed of violations of the LPG.
The 6 September 2006, the project obtained win in its lawsuit against the German company D-Link for the incorrect use and in violation of copyright of parts of the Noyau Linux. The judgment finally recognized the validity of the LPG, which constitutes a precedent and makes it possible to call upon it in front of a court (in Germany).
