Comment
Before being a film of police investigation, Gosford Park is especially a film depicting the English company of the time. The two levels - aristocracy and servants - are symbolized by the two levels of the house - the ground floor and stages for the aristocracy, basements for the servants -, and the Allégorie is reinforced by the parallel Montage.
