The Gold Coast Titans are a team Australia of Rugby to XIII playing in NRL. The club is based in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

History

In 2004, the NRL announces that 3 clubs presented their candidature to integrate the championship in 2007. It is of Gold Coast Dolphins, the Exchange Coast Bears and Wellington Orcas. The May 27th 2005, the director of the NRL, David Gallop announces that the candidature of Gold Coast was retained. The Redcliffe Dolphins, club disputing the Queensland Cup, threat Gold Coast of going in justice for the use of the name of Dolphins. So Gold Coast decides to change name and require the opinion of the fans to choose a new name by the means of Internet site of the club. Finally, the club announces the September 21st 2005, that the name of Titans was most popular in front of Stingers and Pirates.

In 2008, the Titans will have a new being stage of 25.000 places with Robina.
