Giuseppe Agosti

Giuseppe Agosti is a Italian Botaniste , born the February 10th 1715 with Belluno and dead the September 10th 1786 in this same city.

Jesuit, it teaches the Théologie and the Philosophie with Zagreb, Belluno and Borgo San Domenico in the area of Parma. With the suppression of the Society of Jesus in 1773, it is withdrawn near its family with Belluno.

It makes appear in 1770 an important work of Botanique entitled Of Re botanica tractatus in quo praeter generalem methodum, and historiam plantarum, eae stirpes peculiariter recensentur, quae in agro Bellunensi and Fidentino vel sponte crescunt vel arte excoluntur… .
