Giovanni Antonio Lelli

Giovanni Antonio Lelli (1591 - August 3rd, 1640) is a painter Italian Baroque.

Biography

He was the pupil of the painter Lodovico Cigoli. He painted many paintings with oil for private collections but one can see some of his works in some religious buildings

  • Annunciation , church San Matteo in Merulana with Rome (demolished building)
  • Visitation , convent della Minerva.
  • Frescos with the church Santa Lucia in Selci (lost).
  • the crowning of spines
  • allegorical Scene with a magician and a woman
