Gift Ross

Don Ross (born the November 19th 1960 with Montreal with the Canada) is a Canadian Guitariste .

Ross is a guitarist Autodidacte whose Musique is inspired various musical currents like the Rock, the Jazz, the Folk and the Classical music enabling him to create a particular style which it even calls him “ heavy Wood ”. Ross uses the technique of the Tapping. Bruce Cockburn known as of him that “nobody can do what it does with a dry guitar. It strikes the cords so quickly that one can think that it will play of the wrong notes, but it never loses control. ”

Ross is graduate in music with the Université York with Toronto in 1983.

It is the first and the only guitarist in the world to have gained twice U.S. National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 1988 and 1996.

He plays in the group Men off Steel. This group gathers several international musicians such daN Crary, the acoustic guitarist Beppe Gambetta but also the guitarist Tony McManus.
