Gert Mittring

Gert Mittring (born in 1966 with Stuttgart) is a German psychologist and a Calculateur wonder which would have beaten the November 24th 2004 the world records of mental Calcul, at the 38 years age.

At the time of a demonstration organized by the Museum of mathematics with Giessen, in the west of the Germany, it extracted the thirteenth Racine of a number of 100 digits in only 11,80 seconds. It would have thus beaten the preceding record of French Alexis Lemaire, who had in 2002 carried out a similar calculation in 13,55 seconds.

However no organization (Guinness, Saxonia) accepted the record of Gert Mittring, the reason being that the rules were not complied with (one needed 9 calculations for Saxonia).

Gert Mittring is also able to memorize 22 decimal digits after having observed them during 4 seconds, or 30 binary digits observed during 3 seconds.
