Gerard Gourguechon

Gerard Gourguechon is an inspector of the taxes and trade unionist French, former national secretary of the SNUI which it contributed to create, former Vice-president of the scientific advice of Attac and member of the taxation group of the Fondation Copernic.

Trade-union activities and altermondialists

Gerard Gourguechon contributed to create in 1981 the European Public Service Union G10 Solidaires (become since European Public Service Union Solidaires) and word until in 2001 was the first door, date where it was replaced by Annick Coupé. It was one of those which pushed the SNUI to play an important role in the fight against the FRIEND. Then it contributed to create the organization altermondialist Attac in 1998. As a representative of this founding member who was the SNUI, he was member of the Board of directors of Attac of 1998 to 2006 and took part in the starting of his Scientific advice in 1999.

Gerard Gourguechon is with the retirement since 2006. But it takes an active part still in the activities and meetings of SNUI and always plays a big role in association ATTAC. Always vice-president of its Scientific advice, it was one of the initiators of several of his work groups, " Paradise fiscaux" , sustainable development, etc For this reason, it in particular contributed to the drafting of the two Attac books which were devoted to the denunciation of the use of the Tax shelters by the multinational firms, banks and financial institutions. It contributed to the countryside against the European Constitutional treaty and took part in the Attac books on sustainable development like in its Alter dictionary.

He worked on the way in which the choices of taking away of the tax act on the inequalities and wrote with Serge Colin and Vincent Drezet a book on the taxation in Europe. He currently represents Attac in the collective of ONG and associations which launches to the international plan a campaign intended to fight for the installation of an inspecting device of the bank secrecy and of sanction of unfair tax competition of certain countries leading to deprive of others of resources which could have been affected with social projects. The platform “Tax shelters and legal” thus wrote a plate “general public” showing how the opacity of the transfers of capital coming from corruption and the misuses of public money deprive the States of the South of receipts which could have been affected with their development.
