Georgette Plana is a French singer. Its most known title is its resumption of Riquita .

Biography

Georgette Plana was born the July 4th 1917 with Agen. She begins as dancer from variety to Bordeaux, then goes up to Paris in 1941 as singer. Its many resumptions of the songs of the Twenties have success: she sings in Alhambra in 1942 with Bourvil in " The review of Rire" , then with the Madness-Belleville in 1944, and a great popular success with its spirit and its stamp gouaillor obtains. It records a disc of success of Fréhel, and sings the Bar of the Flotilla , Will-o'-the-wisp , and the Small rat of the Opera , which is success in 1947. It Marie at the end of the Forties and leaves the scene little time afterwards.

It returns a score of years later, in 1968, by taking again Riquita , a song of the Twenties written by Benech and Dumont. It is an immense success: 450.000 discs are sold, and the disc is first in Hit Parade. In the tread, Georgette Plana records Zaza , Rugby Walks , the Woman with the Jewels and E Viva Espana . In 1969, she triumphs in Olympia at the sides over Robert Charlebois and of Antoine, with which she sings I offer glass to you.

In 74, it belongs to the Podium round of Europe 1 with Martin Circus.

At present, Georgette Plana saw a peaceful retirement surrounded by her children and small children at it in the Paris region.
