Biography
Guillaume VI of Brunswick-Luneburg sank in the madness, it was his Dorothée wife of Denmark which ensured regency during the minority of its young person Georges wire of Brunswick-Luneburg. It preserved the advisers of her husband in spite of their bad management of the fields.
In 1635, at the time of the division of the territories of the House of Welf, Georges of Brunswick-Luneburg accepted the principalities of Kalenberg and Göttingen.
He was the first duke to install his residence with Hanover.
Georges of Brunswick-Luneburg belonged to the Maison of Hanover, resulting from the second branch of the Maison of Brunswick-Luneburg, itself resulting from the Maison of Este.
