Georges de Beauregard

Georges de Beauregard (Marseilles, December 23rd 1920 - Paris September 10th 1984), of its true name Georges, Raoul, Edgar, Denys Nau de Beauregard, is a producer of French cinema.

Studying in right, he becomes journalist. He works then in the film export and becomes producer in Spain. He is mainly known to have produced films of the realizers of the New wave: mainly Jean-Luc Godard, but also Eric Rohmer, Jacques Rivette, Claude Chabrol, or of the close artists like Jacques Rozier, Agnes Varda, Jacques Demy or Jean-Pierre Melville. Of alive sound it also produced all films of Pierre Schoendoerffer. More incidentally he is also the producer of first film of Luc Moullet.

The cinema the Saint-Germain-of-Meadows in Paris gave its name to its room.
