Georges Rougeron

Georges Rougeron (born the January 6th 1911 with Saint-Germain-of-Ditches, deceased the August 10th 2003 with Commentry) was a French politician.

Plasterer in the beginning, he was secretary of Marx Dormoy as from October 1934, then assistant general secretary of the municipality of Montlucon. He took again then his activity of plasterer and began activities of resistance.

He was stopped on October 1st 1942 and was administratively interned. He was released for disease in November 1943 and was assigned with residence. He took again his activities, fascinating share with the constitution of the Departmental committee of Release Allier in 1944, of which he assumed the secretariat.

He was elected General adviser Canton of Commentry the September 23rd 1945 - mandate held until in 1988.

He became city council man and mayor of Commentry in November 1947 - mandate held until 1989. He was then city council man Bézenet of 1995 with 2001.

He was president of the general advice Allier 1945 with 1970 and of 1976 with 1979.

He was also elected senator Allier the April 26th 1959, and was re-elected for nine years the September 23rd 1962 - not re-elected in 1971.

He obtained the rank of doctor of history to the Faculty of Letters and Social sciences of Clermont-Ferrand.
