Auguste Joseph Frederic Georges Latil , usually named Georges Latil , is a Engineer Marseilles born in 1878 and died in 1961.

The whole of these companies thus produced vehicles Latil of 1897 to 1955.
Indeed, in 1955, the company amalgamates with Somua and connects it trucks of Renault, to give the company LRS (Latil-Renault-Somua) which will become later LRS - SAVIEM (Public limit company of Industrial Vehicles and Mechanical Equipment), then RVI (Renault Véhicules Industrial) then Renault Trucks.
Georges Latil was decorated on March 6th, 1930 with the rank with knight of the Légion of honor.
