George Perez

George Pérez (June 9th 1954 in the Bronx with New York -) is a Dessinateur and Scénariste of Comic S American originating in Puerto Rico. With John Byrne, it is without question the most popular draftsman of comics of the years 1980. It draws especially comics of Super-héros, mainly for cd. Comics and Marvel Comics, and is known for its own, dynamic and very detailed style.

Biography

Pérez started to be known starting from number 141 of volume 1 of the Vengeurs , at Marvel Comics. The style of its beginnings seemed very influenced by Jack Kirby, one of the major creators of Marvel since the Années 1960, although with a larger direction of the Anatomie and leaning to show a world more shining and pretty. In the Years 1970, Pérez illustrated several other Marvel series, like Fantastic Four , where it started to work with Marv Wolfman.

Pérez left soon to work for cd. Comics. After a passage on the Justice League off America , the career of Pérez took off with The New Teen Titans , written by Wolfman. This incarnation of the Jeunes Titans was to be the answer of cd. with very popular the X-Men of Marvel, and Wolfman and Pérez made wonders. Moreover, the aptitudes of Pérez for crayonnés, the details and the faces improved enormously during its 4 years on the title, doing of him one of the most popular draftsmen of the comics.

Wolfman and Pérez connected on the 50 years event of cd., Crisis one Infinity Earths , which was to put in scene all the characters that cd. in a history had which restructured radically the continuity of the Univers cd.. Its work was ink by two of best inking of the time: Dick Giordano and Jerry Ordway.

After Crisis , Pérez taken charges restarting with it with Wonder Woman , by stressing its bonds with the Greek Mythologie and its gods, whom it had already put in scene in The New Teen Titans and got rid of many foreign elements of its history. Pérez started by working with Len Wein on the stories, but ends up only dealing with the scenarios. Although not reaching the popularity of the Titans or Crisis , the series was a success.

In the Years 1990, Pérez left fires of the projectors, although he worked on several popular projects, mainly Sachs and Violens and Hulk: Future Imperfect , all two writings by Peter David. Pérez turned over finally on a major title for the third volume of the Avengers, written by Kurt Busiek, series on which it remained nearly three years. After having left the series, him and Busiek worked on very awaited Cross-country race-over JLA/Avengers , appeared fine 2003.

Perez tried to benefit from its reputation to publish a series of which the rights would belong to him, Crimson Plague , but after a first failure during its publication at Event Comics, its return under the label Gorilla of Image Comics, did not allow him to exceed the first number.

After a light turning by CrossGen, where it carried out some episodes of CrossGen Chronicles and Solus , it is into 2005 of return to cd., working as inking of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez on the Return off Gave Troy , scenarized by Phil Jimenez, regarded as his/her spiritual son, and carrying out covers for Infinite Crisis , the annual great event of cd.
